Letters to the Editor Policy
The decision to print any submission is completely at the discretion of the Sierra Sun editor. Letters must include the author’s name, hometown, affiliation (if any) and phone number (for verification of authorship only). Form letters and letters considered libelous, obscene or in bad taste will not be printed. Anonymous letters will not be printed.

The Sierra Sun reserves the right to edit all letters. Because of space constraints, please limit your letters to 300 words. Thank you letters are limited to 150 words and letters containing long lists of names will not be printed.

Guest Column Policy
The decision to print any submission is completely at the discretion of the Sierra Sun editor. Submissions should be no longer than 500 words and are subject to editing for style and content. Please include a daytime phone number. The editors reserve the right to edit all columns.

Deadlines
The Sierra Sun welcomes submissions, including photographs, to all of their departments. The deadline for submissions is noon, three days before publication.

About your other submissions:
Press Release - Releases should contain the dates and times of scheduled events, along with the name and telephone number of the person submitting the article. The Sierra Sun reserves the right to edit all submissions. Submissions will be printed as space allows.

New Business Brief - must include the registered business name, type of business, address, contact phone number and name. The decision to print any submission is completely at the discretion of the Sierra Sun editor.
